Multi purpose mowing strip
Stop turf runners and create a defined look with the versatile Lawn Edge. This product can be laid either way up, providing a small edge with a mowing strip or a higher edge for planted out gardens.
Careful curves
Curves can be a great way to create movement and life in the garden, and in many garden styles, a curve will suit the concept but beware, the turf will grow up to your garden edge and lots of curves can be problematic for mowing so consider curves carefully and be prepared to spend more time maintaining your edges.
Create a level change
Garden edging to separate the lawn from the garden bed can be achieved with a single row of edging brick pavers but to create a visual feature and a distinct level change in the garden, build your edge to two or three courses high. It will draw the eye up, adding depth and dimension to your garden. Choose Miniwall®, Natural Impressions® or Hudson Stone to achieve this look.
Garden edging is a great way to improve the look of your garden beds and even become another feature of their own. Garden edging can neatly tie different spaces together, while making it easier to mow the lawn and keep weeds out of the garden.
You can use concrete masonry blocks to create an aesthetically appealing garden edge in straight lines, with corners or gentle curves.
Concrete blocks, pavers or lawn edge units provide the best garden edging. They may take a little more time and effort to install, but they are strong and durable, so when installed right they will last a lifetime without rotting, rusting or falling apart.
Using products like Havenbrick or Lawn Edge as a border for your garden will create a mowing strip. This allows you to run the lawn mower over the top, so you won’t need to use the whipper-snipper every time you mow the lawn.
